As of 6/1/2022, no bids were received. Fairfield County is accepting sealed bids to repair the septic drain fields and holding tank at the Recreation building on Hwy 321, Winnsboro, SC. 350 LF of drain field and one (1) 540 gallon holding tank 1. Contractor is responsible to mark site and coordinate utility location in order to verify the locations of any and all underground utilities. 2. Contractor shall excavate area required to install effluent system. 3. Contractor is responsible to barricade and control the work area in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR part 1926. 4. Contractor is to provide and install 350 LF of Infiltrator plastic leach field chambers per the manufacturer's installation instructions. 5. Contractor is to provide and install one Infiltrator IM-540 holding tank per the manufacturer's installation instructions. 6. Successful Vendor must provide submittals to Fairfield County Building Maintenance (FCBM) for approval a minimum of 10 days prior to beginning the job. 7. Contractor is responsible for leveling/smoothing then reseeding the area disturbed and covering with wheat straw to prevent erosion. 8. Contractor is responsible for the cleanliness of the site daily. The site will be left in the condition it was found. All waste shall be removed. Contractor is responsible for the legal disposal of any and all waste. 9. Contractor is responsible for the storage and protection of all materials prior to being installed and until accepted by Fairfield County. Any materials deemed by FCBM to be unsatisfactory will be rejected at no additional cost to the County. 10. Contractor is to be completed within 25 (twenty-five) calendar days from commencement of the project (excluding weather delays). Projects not completed within this time frame will be subject to a fee of $350/day. Weather delays will be given at a 1 to 1 ratio. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
