The Massachusetts College of Art and Design, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the Roof Replacement, MassArt Kennedy Campus Center in Boston Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by Miller Dyer Spears. The Project consists of: Demolition and replacement of the roofing system in its entirety. Related work includes masonry work at flashing replacement, removal of hazardous materials at doors frames, modifications to ships ladders, removal and reinstallation of existing rooftop HVAC equipment, ductwork and supports, modifications to electrical components, conduits and supports and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. All roofing materials shall be submitted, acquired, stored protected and insured immediately after Contract Award until installation in Summer 2023. Owner will make payment upon observation and acceptance. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work, Roofing, and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. Plan deposits may be electronically paid or by check. This deposit will be refunded for up to two sets for general bidders and for one set for sub-bidders upon return of the sets in good condition within thirty (30) days of receipt of general bids. Otherwise the deposit shall be the property of the Awarding Authority. Additional sets may be purchased for $50.00. Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $ 40.00 per set for UPS Ground (or $65.00 per set for UPS overnight), nonrefundable, payable to the BidDocs ONLINE Inc., to cover mail handling costs.
