Inquiry End Date 4/18/2022 3:00:00 PMThe Stonelick fishing pier gives access to a deeper part of the Stonelick lake and has provided great fishing for Stonelick visitors. While the design and materials used to construct the pier were well thought out for that time, some of the materials used for construction (ie: submerged Steel or galvanized shackles for securing stainless steel chains to anchor in the bottom of lake) have rusted away. This has allowed the pier to sway freely back and forth about 10' -15' if strong winds blow. During times of flooding (photo 7), the water current flowing over the spillway creates tremendous pull on the unanchored pier, so much so that the concrete abutment has cracked and given way (photo 2) and welds have cracked (photo 6). This anchor failure has made the fishing pier unsafe for our visitors and fishermen. Refurbishing this pier is a priority for our park and community. Anchoring pier: construct (on site) four (3' x 3' x 3') lake bottom and four (1.S'xl.S'x 1.5') Hanging concrete anchors. ANY AND ALL HARDWARE FOR ATTACHING ANCHORS TO FISHING PIER TO BE STAINLESS STEEL Repair fishing pier welds, walkway & steel abutment bracket. Repairing Concrete abutment. Site Tour (Required).
