Reference number : 1588638 Deadline for receipt of complaints: 2022-04-11 Submission sent electronically accepted: No This call for tenders aims to carry out a pilot test by a Technology Supplier to validate the feasibility of implementing a nanofiltration-type membrane filtration treatment system for the removal of hardness, iron, strontium, sulphates, conductivity and total solids. In order to meet its future water needs, the Municipality has had two (2) new pumping wells (P2_2022 and P3_2022) built in a rocky aquifer. These wells will bring an additional supply of water to the P1 well already operated by the municipality. According to 72-hour pumping tests, the hydraulic potential of the confined aquifer would be sufficient to meet future municipal needs. The tests show that a flow of the order of 1,325 L/min (350 GUSPM) could potentially be withdrawn from the rocky aquifer by the simultaneous pumping of the two (2) new pumping wells. From a qualitative point of view, the groundwater drawn from each well greatly exceeds Health-Canada recommendations for hardness, iron, sulphates, strontium and total solids in particular. These overruns, although of an aesthetic nature, are so significant that treatment is therefore necessary before groundwater consumption.
