The objective of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) is to enable Florida State University (FSU) to enter into a purchase order (PO) with a Respondent for lawn maintenance at the John and Mabel Ringling Museum as specified in the ITB document. The John and Mable Ringling Museum is located at 5401 Bay Shore Road, Sarasota, FL 34243. Turf Maintenance a) Mow all lawn grass areas TWICE per month for the months of December January and February then Weekly March through October b) St Augustine mixed turf species minimum mowing height shall be four (4.0) inches. c) Recycle grass clippings back into the turf with the understanding that aesthetic appeal will not be lost, (clumps and unsightly accumulation will be collected or dispersed). d) Edging of hard surfaces (driveways, sidewalks, streets and around all beds to be done every other mowing. e) Pruning and shaping to be done once a month year round f) Service is based on average weather conditions. In the event of severe weather (excessive drought, freeze or rain) service may be withheld to prevent damage to turf. g) Following service, all mowing debris and clippings will be blown from hard surfaces and redistributed back onto the turf each service. Litter a) All litter and pruning debris will be removed from the area mowed upon each visit. b) In the event of hurricanes, severe storm, or freeze, where excessive debris and litter results, additional charges will be set in advance for this type of cleaning up, removal and hauling of said damage The effective date of this contract will be from the time of a signed contract through June 30, 2023. Two (2) consecutive one (1) year renewal periods may be authorized by the University. Any and all renewals are subject to satisfactory performance evaluations by the agency and must be executed in advance by written instrument agreed to by both parties. All terms and conditions of the original agreement will remain in force for the renewal period. Question & Answer Submission no later than 5 pm EST 4/12/22 Answers to be posted no later than 5 pm EST 4/15/22 Unless otherwise revised by a subsequent addendum to this ITN, the dates and times by which stated actions should be taken or completed are listed above. If FSU determines, in its sole discretion, that it is necessary to change any of these dates and times, it will issue an Addendum to the ITN. All times listed are Eastern Standard Time (EST). It is the Respondent's responsibility to check FSU's Public Procurement Portal for any updates or addendums to this ITN. All sourcing event-related communications between Respondents and FSU is managed and tracked through a Question-and-Answer Board within the ITN event on the Public Procurement Portal.
