Upgrades and expansion of the downtown wastewater treatment plant to meet the growing demand for wastewater treatment capacity in the concerned area. The scope of the project includes the construction of a new building and a new pre-treatment system, construction of an activated sludge ponds, installation of four new boosters, rehabilitation and modification of the activated sludge treatment sector and required modification to UV disinfection systems. The work also includes construction of required pipelines and demolition of certain existing structures. TIMELINE: Detailed design of the project is being finalized. Owner is seeking required approvals and funding and expects to start the construction in late spring/summer 2024.
