Description: Maine Federal Aid Project No. 2508700 WIN 025087.00, 2553500 WIN 025535.00, 2554300 WIN 025543.00, 025543.00 WIN 025101.00, 2553100 WIN 025531.00, and 2553300 WIN 025533.00 Location: In Penobscot County, Interstate 95 Northbound bridge number 1419 and Southbound bridge number 6069 over Piscataquis River located approximately 0.48 of a mile north of River Road. Route 155 bridge number 6068 over Interstate 95 located approximately 0.27 of a mile east of Maxfield Road. Interstate 95 Interchange 53 bridge number 6062 in Old Town carrying Route 16 over Interstate 95. Interstate 95 Northbound / Kirkland Road bridge number 6059 over Kirkland Road located approximately 0.79 of a mile north of the Orono town line. Route 43/ Interstate 95 bridge number 6061 over Interstate 95 located 0.39 of a mile south easterly of W. Coiley Road. Scope of Work: Interstate 95 Bridge paint projects plus other incidental work. MDOT@maine.gov, project name and identification number should be in the subject line. Questions received after 12:00 noon of Monday (or if that Monday is a state holiday, Friday) prior to bid date will not be answered. Bidders shall not contact any other Departmental staff for clarification of Contract provisions, and the Department will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable State Laws. The right is hereby reserved to the MaineDOT to reject any or all bids. MEDOT - Interstate 95 Bridge Paint projects We now accept electronic bids for bid packages. Electronic bids do not have to be accompanied by paper bids. Please note: The Department will accept a facsimile of the bid bond; however, the original bid bond must then be received at the MDOT Contract Section within 72 hours of the bid opening. Until further notice, dual bids (one paper, one electronic) will be accepted, with the paper copy taking precedence.
