Demolition, site work, paving, outdoor lighting and addition to a mixed-use development in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Completed plans call for the addition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The project includes but is not limited to new construction involving the expansion of the Tuscaloosa Tennis Center and related improvements to adjacent Jaycee Park. The Tennis Center expansion includes fourteen (14) post-tensioned courts and six (6) clay courts along with the resurfacing of four (4) existing hard courts. Along with the court expansion and associated amenities, a new concession/restroom building, maintenance building, shade structures and front entry wall are part of the scope of work. Improvements to Jaycee Park include rerouting of an existing walking trial, new lighting, and restroom facility. PREQUALIFICATION: The prequalification procedure will identify responsible and competent General Contractor bidders relative to the requirements of the Project. Pre-qualification packets will be made available to prospective bidders on July 15, 2024 by contacting Stephen B. King at Chambless King Architects via email at sking@chamblessking.com Contractor Prequalification Submittals are to be submitted to Stephen B. King at Chambless King Architects by prospective bidders no later than 5:00pm CDT on July 31, 2024 via electronic copy emailed to sking@chamblessking.com. E-mailed digital copies are to be follow-up with three (3) hard copies sent to the office of Chambless King Architects at 12 West Jefferson Street, Suite 300, Montgomery, AL 36104 within 24 hours. Notification of successful respondents will be issued no later than 5:00pm CDT on August 7, 2024.
