Hydrostructures, P.A., on behalf of Chatham County, is soliciting proposals from qualified Contractors for the installation of approximately 2,960 LF of 8 inch Cured-in-Place liner, and approximately 27 VF of cementitious coating with misc. manhole repairs. The work area will include the Bynum Sewer Collection System in the small neighborhood referred to as Bynum Mill Village. Proposals should be inclusive of all labor, equipment and materials required to complete the work detailed in the attached plans and specifications by Hydrostructures, P.A. sealed by Becky Smith, P.E on March 17, 2022. Time period for construction: 60 days from the issuance of the Contract/Notice to Proceed. Bids will be evaluated based on price. Contractor shall obtain Payment and Performance Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount. A bid bond is required. Bynum Church Road and Bynum Hill are NCDOT Roadways. When working within NCDOT Right-of-Way, no lane closures shall occur between the hours of 7 and 9 AM and 3 and 7 PM, Monday through Friday. NCDOT certified Work Zone Flaggers shall perform any necessary traffic flagging. Public notification, traffic control, acceptance testing, and mobilization shall be incidental and included in the unit cost for the project. Unit quantities may be adjusted +/- 100%. Contractor shall be responsible for line diameter and material verification. Contractor shall not be reimbursed for mis-ordering or loss of material. Chatham County follows statutory requirements for awarding contracts, as stated in North Carolina General Statutes 143-129 and identified as the "lowest, responsive, responsible bidder; taking into consideration quality, performance and the time specified in the proposals for the performance of the contract.
