Project involves demolition, erosion control, traffic control, clearing and grubbing, sanitary sewer manhole adjustments, approximately 90 linear feet of 8-inch diameter sanitary laterals, approximately 170 linear feet of 8-inch diameter water main extension, existing hydrant relocation and adjustments, water valve relocations and adjustments, approximately 1,800 linear feet of 8-inch diameter through 38"x60" elliptical storm sewer for roadway construction, approximately 5,900 linear feet of 6-inch diameter underdrain for roadway construction, approximately 1,900 linear feet of 6-inch through 15-inch diameter storm sewer for bioretention facilities, approximately 1,900 linear feet of 4-inch diameter underdrain for bioretention facilities, storm manholes, inlets, bioretention facility control structure manholes, grading, crushed aggregate base courses, approximately 6,300 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter, approximately 137,000 square feet of asphaltic pavement and driveway approaches, asphaltic pedestrian pathway, concrete pedestrian ramps, concrete rumble strips, modular block retaining walls, street lighting, pavement markings, restoration and cleanup. Bidding Documents, including Drawings and Specifications, may be examined online on the Quest website, at the City Engineer's office at the City of Franklin City Hall, and at the offices of the Consulting Engineer during regular business hours. Construction time is of the essence. Completion delays are subject to liquidated damages. The City of Franklin reserves the right to accept the most advantageous Bid, or to reject any and all Bids. Award of Work described herein is subject to the provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes. Published by the authority of the Common Council of the City of Franklin, Milwaukee County, WI. Partial sets of Bidding Documents are not available. Neither Owner, Engineer nor Issuing Office is responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including any Addenda, obtained from other sources. The cost of Bidding Documents is non-refundable. Each entity obtaining Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office will be designated as a Plan Holder of Record. Bids received from entities who are not Plan Holders of Record may be returned as being nonresponsive. No pre-bid meeting. Bids shall be accompanied by a bidder's qualification statement. Bidder is required to upload a copy of the Bid security to QuestCDN and deliver the original hard copy certified check or bid bond to the City Engineer for the City of Franklin at or before the time bids are downloaded and publicly read aloud. Bidder is also required to deliver an original executed hard copy of Article 9 of the Bid Form to the City Engineer for the City of Franklin at or before the time bids are downloaded and publicly read aloud. If the successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract and furnish payment and performance bonds within 15 days after the award, the Check or Bid Bond may be forfeited to the City of Franklin as liquidated damages. The Work will be substantially completed on or before December 23, 2022, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before September 16, 2023. Project is located along South Hickory Street from West Oakwood Road to West South County Line Road and along West Oakwood Road at approximately 1,350 linear feet west of South 27th Street in the City of Franklin.
