The Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 has seven landfill sites that require metal recycling service. The landfills requiring service are Goodridge, Therien, La Corey, Hilda Lake, Ardmore, Fort Kent and Muriel Lake. 1.2.1 The Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 (the "M.D.") is seeking proposals from qualified firms for the following: 2022 Metal Recycling Service ("the Work") 1.2.2 The Work is to be contracted on a three (3) year term. 1.2.3 If the M.D. receives an acceptable proposal, the M.D. will select one (1) or more parties who submitted a proposal (the "Proponents") with whom the M.D., in its sole and unfettered discretion, will negotiate regarding the terms of a contract (the "Contract") to perform the Work. The M.D. may, at its sole discretion, retain the services of more than one proponent. 1.1.1 The Municipal District of Bonnyville has seven landfill sites that require metal recycling service. The landfills requiring service are Goodridge, Therien, La Corey, Hilda Lake, Ardmore, Fort Kent, and Muriel Lake. A map of the landfill sites is found in Appendix A. 1.1.2 Historically, metal recycling service has occurred on a 12- to 18-month schedule. A Schedule of Quantities from 2017 through winter 2022 can be found in Appendix B for reference. 1.1.3 Fridges, freezers, air conditioners, and water coolers are collected and stored separately at each of the seven sites and will require refrigerant (CFC) removal prior to metal recycling service. Approximately 200 of these units are collected on an annual basis across the seven landfills.
