1. Gain access to work area with identified DOA technician. 2. Place the fire alarm system on test. 3. Identify level of the parking deck to start work on. 4. Isolate the water to the dry pipe valve 5. Drain air from the dry pipe system. 6. While air is being exhausted identify the lowest points on the main sprinkler piping that custom made adapters can be attached to for draining the system. 7. Once air is exhausted install the custom drain adapters. 8. Turn fire pump off 9. Turn the jockey pump off 10. Place water on the dry pipe system thru the bypass line 11. Once water pressure has equalized then close the DPS control valve 12. Start pumping the DPS up to the required 200 PSI 13. While pumping up the dry pipe system a technician will be inspecting the system for leaks. 14. Any leaks identified shall be identified with yellow caution tape and contained immediately to prevent any water damage to property 15. Once all leaks on the system have been identified then steps 10-14 shall be repeated on the other two systems. This is assuming that steps 1-9 are repeated while the first system is being pumped up. 16. After hydrostatic testing has been completed each system shall be drained thru the custom adapters. 17. After draining is completed then the DPV shall be reset and returned to service- technician shall make a note of the refill time to see if it meets the code required 30 minutes. 18. All low point drains shall be drained before returning the systems to service 19. Once all testing & draining is completed the systems shall be returned to service 20. Vendor shall notify DOA Technician of the fire alarm system taken off testing.
