Effective October 25, 2021, Canyons School District is pleased to announce a new online procurement platform for the solicitation of goods and services. If you are interested in doing business with the Canyons School District, you will need to register as a supplier to receive notifications when new solicitations are posted. Scope of work includes replacing all existing lighting within Brookwood Elementary with new LED lighting as well as introducing lighting controls (occupancy/vacancy detection, daylight harvesting, etc.) as required to comply with current energy codes. An additional alternate is to be provided for replacing (3) exterior site parking lot lights. 1.2.1 Existing lighting to be replaced 1 for 1 throughout most spaces. The existing grid structure and light placement is unconventional but will be maintained to minimize clashes above ceiling between existing equipment and new lights, and minimize interruption to the ceiling grid system. 1.2.2 Some instances of existing lights have been removed and will be replaced with a new ceiling tile grid. All existing ceiling devices/elements excluding existing light fixtures are to remain in place. The electrical contractor may remove devices from the ceiling temporarily if required for access but must reinstall any and all existing devices, ceiling grids, wiring, etc that was impacted. 1.2.3 All existing exit signs will be replaced. 1.2.4 Most existing classrooms already have emergency power provided to a light however some spaces require extending the nearest emergency circuit for new emergency lighting within the space. 1.2.5 Existing platform lighting within the gym is to be replaced. 1.2.6 Existing contactor system within the gym to be replaced and new emergency lighting to be introduced. 1.2.7 Work is expected to be completed by August 11, 2023 with substantial completion August 1, 2023.
