Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Mount Sterling, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
As of December 19, 2022, construction has been completed. This project consists of the construction of and resurfacing of West Court Street and East Court Street from North Street to Washington Street, and Washington Street from West Court Street to East Court Street. Washington Street will also have the construction of full-depth pavement from Maple Street to West Court Street. The improvements will consist of watermain construction, Hot-Mix Asphalt Surfacing, ADA sidewalk removal and replacement, inlet removal and replacement, earth excavation and placement of aggregate base course, and related work. Improvements to North Street from West of West Court Street to Maple Street include curb and gutter and sidewalk removal and replacement. The successful bidder or bidders will be required to furnish a satisfactory payment bond and performance bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract. The Contractor will be required to be pre-qualified with the Illinois Department of Transportation. The Owner reserves the right to reject the bid of any non-responsive, nonresponsible bidder, and waive any informalities to the benefit of the Owner. The plans and proposals are each a call for bids containing all requirements governing the letting and performance of the particular contract including but not limited to any applicable requirements for the payment of prevailing rates of wages for labor are required by law. A proposal guaranty in the proper amount, as specified in IDOT BLRS Special Provision for Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Contract Proposals, will be required. Bid bonds will be allowed as a proposal guaranty.
