RAC Range Improvements Project Ashley National Forest Uintah County, Utah Period of Performance: 06/01/2022 to 10/31/2022 0001 BASE ITEM - READER/BASSET/HWY 191 BOUNDARY FENCE 1 EA Period of Performance: 06/01/2022 to 06/01/2023 0002 OPTION ITEM #1 - DIAMOND MOUNTAIN 1 EA (Option Line Item) Period of Performance: 06/01/2022 to 06/01/2023 0003 OPTION ITEM #2 - GARTRELL SPRING EXCLOSURE 1 EA (Option Line Item) Period of Performance: 06/01/2022 to 06/01/2023 0004 OPTION ITEM #3 - CATTAIL POND DIAMOND MOUNTAIN 1 EA (Option Line Item) Period of Performance: 06/01/2022 to 06/01/2023 0005 OPTION ITEM #4 - ATV CATTLEGUARD INSTALLATION 1 EA (Option Line Item) Period of Performance: 06/01/2022 to 06/01/2023 This solicitation and any resulting contract is a firm-fixed price type of contract, which under the definition in FAR 16.202-1, "this type of contract provides for a price that is not subject to any adjustment on the basis of the contractor's cost experience in performing the contract. This contract type places upon the contractor maximum risk and full responsibility for all costs and resulting profit or loss." Offerors shall submit pricing on all base and optional items listed on the Schedule of Items. Failure to comply with the instructions may render your offer nonresponsive and ineligible for contract award. Prices on the Schedule shall reflect Contractor's full cost for labor, supervision, overhead costs, and incidental items SCOPE OF CONTRACT This work consists of the removal of and construction of 4-strand barbed wire fence. Base Item- Reader Basset/Hwy 191 Boundary Fence- Remove and dispose of all existing fencing, clear and grub along fence line, provide and install 2 miles of new wild-life fencing, 4 strand barb wire, t-posts, bracing, five 12-foot gates, etc. as per Reader/Basset/Hwy 191 Boundary Fence Specification. Length of fence is 2 miles long. Option #1 Diamond Mountain Wildlife Exclosure Fence- Removal and disposal of the existing fences, clearing and grubbing along fence line, providing, and installing new 'no climb' horse fencing, installation of one 4' x 6'-8" green gate as per the Diamond Mountain Wildlife Exclosure Fence Specification. Length of fence is 740 lineal feet. Option #2: Gartrell Spring Exclosure Fencing - Construct new post and pole fence using cedar or treated posts and Lodgepole pine poles, one 4-foot Powder River gate, bracing, etc. as per the Gartrell Spring Exclosure Fencing Specifications. Length of fence is 900 lineal feet. Forest Service shall stake location of fence. Option #3 - Cattail Pond Diamond Mountain - reconstruct existing 45-foot diameter stock pond as per drawings and specs Option #4: ATV-Cattleguard Installation - Install five 84-inch-wide ATV cattleguards within existing fences/gates at the locations below. Install H-braces using steel pipe w/ 7' length pounded or cemented to a depth of 24", 3-post design, with single 7' cross member welded 3/4 up the posts. Install a 12-foot gate adjacent to the cattleguard (see drawings).
