The Municipality of West Perth owns and operates the West Perth Lions Outdoor Pool. The pool which was renovated in 2000 (21 years old), consists of a 156,000 USG Rectangular Main Pool, a 14,500 USG Rectangular Instructional Pool and a Splash Pad. The two vertical sand filters that services the rectangular main pool is past its life cycle and requires replacement. Description of Required Services The successful contractor shall supply & install the following for the 'main' pool: - Removal & disposal of existing Astral Sand Filters (see documents for photo). - Supply & install of two (2) Astral Vertical Sand Filters or approved equivalent - Minimum surface area to be 4m3 (43.30 sq/ft) - Have a design flow rate of no less than 2,120 LPM (650 GPM) - Supply & install of all necessary piping, fittings, valves and flow meter - Supply & install a variable drive control - Start up to ensure proper operation. PLEASE SPECIFY YOUR ANTICIPATED COMPLETION DATE. The pool will be up and running in June for the season, we are hoping the filters can be replaced before opening or be replaced for a short time during operating season. The forecasted completion date is to be no later than October 7, 2022.
