The project work will include safeguarding 14 shafts, one adit. Closure methods include backfill, polyurethane foam plug (puf), and steel grates. All backfilled features will use material located on site for fill. Service Start : 6/1/2022 Service End : 7/30/2022 The Denver City Project is located near the town of Gunnison, Colorado. From Gunnison take highway 50 west and turn left onto West Airport Road. West Airport Road will turn into Gold Basin Road (County Road 38, YY6). Continue on Gold Basin Road for approximately 12 miles and turn left onto Deer Play Run Road. Continue for 1 mile and turn right onto Aspen Glen Road. Continue for another mile and turn right onto Iris Lane/YY10. Continue for 3/4 of a mile and turn left onto BLM 3072 Road. Continue for 1/2 a mile up and over a hill and the mine site is located on the far side of a small drainage. Old mine roads lead to DC-01 through DC-07. Turn north at the mine site and continue for 1.5 miles on BLM 3072 C to reach DC-08 through DC-11. Continue for another mile to reach Garflin Gulch Road. Turn left to reach DC-12 and turn right to reach DC-14 and 15. DC-13 is located 17.6 miles up CO-114 from highway 50, 8 mile east of the town of Gunnison, on the western side of the road A Performance and Payment bond is required if the amount bid is $150,000.00 or greater. The Contractor shall furnish a labor and material payment bond for 100 percent of the original contract price and a performance bond for 100 percent of the original amount of the contract The project work will include safeguarding 14 shafts, one adit.
