The Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) intends to competitively award, under a Total Small Business Set-Aside, a new Firm Fixed Price (FFP), for the installation of fiber optic cabling. This effort is in support of the Program Executive Office for Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS) mission to have fiber optic cabling installed between building 270 and 229 at the Detroit Arsenal. Performance Work Statement (PWS) US Army Garrison - Detroit Arsenal Building 270 to Building 229 Fiber Cabling Network Enterprise Center - Detroit Arsenal (NEC-DA) C.1 PROJECT TITLE: NEC-DA Fiber Optic Cabling Installation C.2 BACKGROUND: NEC-DA requires the installation of fiber optic cabling between building 270 and 229 in accordance with (IAW) section C.4. C.3 SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor shall furnish, install, terminate, label, and test all cabling, components, and materials in order to meet the requirements in section C.4. Items and materials not listed, which are incidental to the work being accomplished, shall be as recommended by the product manufacturer and/or in compliance with current industry standards and approved by the Project Manager or Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Description of Work: All work described in this document shall be performed using the technical references listed below or as instructed by the COR. All new cable will be Single-Mode, Plenum Rated (Internal Building), with SC type patch panels (if required) and connectors. Telecommunications system labeling shall be completed in accordance with ANSI/TIA/EIA-606-A and shall conform to the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) standard. All cabling shall be labeled on both ends, within 12 inches of the end of the cable jacket, which shall be visible on the exposed part of the cable jacket. Install 24 Strand SM Plenum Rated Fiber Optic Cabling from Building 270 1st Floor (TR -100) Room 1402-U to Building 229 1st Floor (TR-14) Room 1B090-U o Building 270 end of Fiber Optic Cable shall be terminated with SC Style Connector pigtails and installed within existing Fiber Patch Panel o Building 229 end of Fiber Optic Cable shall be terminated with SC Style Connector pigtails and installed within New Wall Mounted Fiber Patch Panel Install 6 Strand SM Armored Fiber Optic Cabling from Building 229 1st Floor (TR-14) Room 1B090-U to Building 229 3rd Floor Room 300W (Secure Room) o Note: This cable run will pass through Building 229 3rd Floor Telecom Room (TR-16) and terminate in Room 300W (Secure Room). o Building 229 1st Floor end of Fiber Optic Cable shall be terminated with SC Style Connector pigtails and installed within New Wall Mounted Fiber Patch Panel o Building 229 3rd Floor end of the Fiber Optic Cabling shall terminated with SC Style Connector pigtails and installed within New Wall Mounted Fiber Patch Panel. Inter-building Breezeway o New conduit sleeves shall be installed in the breezeway between Building 270 and Building 229, for inter-building pathway.
