The Friendship Heights Village Council, governing body for the Village of Friendship Heights, invites proposals for a contractor to patch and re-skim the Village Center's exterior walls. This notice is placed in compliance with the applicable provisions of Section 66 of the Montgomery County Code. The successful bidder will be required to execute affidavits of non-collusion, non-conviction, and non-suspension/disbarment (Md. Code, State Finance and Procurement Art. Sec 16-311(a) and (b)), and a written contract in a form approved by the Village. The successful bidder must be qualified and registered to do business in Maryland (Md. Code, Corps. Art. Sec. 7-201). The Village reserves the right to refuse all bids if none appear appropriate to the Village's circumstances The contractor will work in close coordination with the Manager and Assistant Manager, and will agree to perform the following tasks: 1. Patch and re-skim multiple EIFS panels (see attached pictures and mark-ups). a. Patch the delamination on EIFS walls. b. Re-skim the entire panels from corner to corner with new base coat and finish coat to match closely the existing finish texture and color. 2. Protection of adjacent materials and/or ground below work (using clear plastic sheeting only during installation). 3. Means of access is based on scaffold and boom lift to provide required unobstructed access. a. Use a boom lift for areas over the ramp going into the parking garage to provide unobstructed access. 4. One (1) mobilization should be included in the bid.
