The project includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: coordinate with agencies and contractors performing other concurrent work at the site, with Bureau of Prisons local staff regarding work on or affecting BOP property, and with City staff and Vandenberg Village Community Services District (VVCSD) staff; obtain and fulfill the conditions of an encroachment permit from Santa Barbara County; pothole utilities; sawcut pavement; perform structure excavation and backfill, and dispose of material; construct 10" diameter ductile iron pipe (DIP) sanitary sewer by open trench; construct 12" diameter high density polyethylene (HDPE) sanitary sewer by horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and by open trench; construct 18" diameter polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sanitary sewer by open trench; furnish and install all fittings, polymer concrete maintenance holes, precast vaults, cleanouts, and other appurtenances; test and facilitate inspection of new system; coordinate and cutover flow to new system without interruption of service; remove and/or abandon existing vaults, maintenance holes, and sewer pipe sections; trench; place bedding and backfill; remove & dispose of existing concrete and asphalt concrete; furnish and construct asphalt concrete trench paving and patching; fulfill all environmental requirements of the work; clean-up and perform related work as required, to complete the work as specified in these Special Provisions, shown and described by the Plans, Standard Specifications, City Standard Requirements, permits, and other contract documents. The City anticipates awarding the contract on May 17, 2022; executing the contract between June 6 and June 15, 2022; holding the pre-construction meeting between June 15 and July 20, 2022; and issuing Notice to Proceed between July 18 and August 1, 2022.
