Outdoor lighting and renovation of a mixed-use development in Alameda, California. Completed plans call civil work for a military facility, office development and playground / park / athletic field.

PN-70Z08822RPR000042 1.01 SCOPE OF WORK: Provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, consumables, documentation, field verification, and testing services necessary to replace the existing Exterior Lighting Fixtures and to upgrade the existing Electrical Metering System at the Marina Village Family Housing Site, Base Alameda, Alameda, California. The work shall include, but not necessarily limited to, the following: A. Exterior Lighting Fixture Replacement: 1) Replace the existing High-Pressure Sodium (HPS) lighting fixtures at the Housing Office Parking Lot and Playground areas with new Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting fixtures equipped with integral combination bi-level illumination motion sensor / photo-electric cell device. 2) Replace the existing High-Pressure Sodium (HPS) lighting fixtures at the Housing site-wide Pathways with new Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting fixtures to be equipped with combination bi-level illumination motion sensor / photoelectric cell device. 3) Replace the existing High-Pressure Sodium (HPS) exterior WallPacks lighting fixtures at the Housing site-wide building units with new Light Emitting Diode (LED) Wall-Packs lighting fixtures equipped with integral combination bi-level illumination motion sensor / photo-electric cell device. 4) Replace the existing High-Pressure Sodium (HPS) lighting fixtures at the Housing site-wide Roadways with new Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting fixtures to be equipped with photo-electric cell device. 5) All existing light poles and mast arms shall remain. No new light poles and mast arms will be required. 6) All existing raceway shall remain. No new raceway will be required. 10165355 Page 2 7) All existing wiring shall remain. Generally, no new wiring will be required. 8) The present actual field conditions such lighting fixture exact locations, mounting heights, and quantities may not be depicted in the Contract Drawings. If such discrepancies occur, the actual field conditions shall prevail. The Contractor shall mark the Contract Drawings accordingly to show as As-Builts. 9) Field verify, identify and record As-Built status of the presently installed branch circuits associated with the lighting fixtures to be replaced. 10)All new lighting fixtures shall comply with Buy American Acts requirements. 11)Modify, as necessary, the existing lighting branch circuits associated with the replacement work to accommodate the installation and operation of the new replacement Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting fixtures and their associated motion sensors/photocells. 12)Test and place in operation all new replacement Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting fixtures and their associated motion sensors/photocells. 13)Dispose of all existing lighting fixtures that were removed and replaced. 14)Coordinate all work to be performed onsite, including, but not necessarily limited to, electrical power shutdown and energization activities, with the Base Alameda Facilities Engineering Point-Of-Contact(s)(POCs). B. Electrical Metering System Retrofit: 1) Furnish, install, and configure, (as necessary), the new cellular modems. 2) Set-up, connect, and configure, (as necessary) the existing Data Acquisition Servers (DAS). 3) Provide necessary stand-alone laptop, Ethernet cords, RS485 pin connectors, necessary for use in the set-up and configuration of the existing Data Acquisition Servers (DASs) and new cellular modems. 10165355 Page 3 4) Coordinate, as required, with the US Coast Guard SILC (Shore Infrastructure Logistic Center) Energy Branch, Vitality Energy Data and Management System group, and with other technical support contacts listed in the Advance Metering Infrastructure (AMI) System Cellular Modem Reconnection Instructions. 5) Notify USCG SILC (Shore Infrastructure Logistic Center) Energy Branch thirty (30) days in advance to request cellular ISP (Internet Service Provider) information for connectivity. 6) Field-verify and record site-wide locations of the existing wireless transceivers (Modhopper). 7) Field-verify the existing site-wide wireless transceivers (Modhopper) for proper operation. Replace defective or nonoperational transceivers. 8) Test and place in operation the completed Electrical Metering System retrofit. 9) Dispose of all existing transceivers that were field-verified to be non-operational, removed and replaced. C. Provide all submittals and documentation as specified herein. D. Follow and OSHA General Guidance on protecting the health and safety of construction workers and workplaces during COVID-19 pandemic. 1.02 LOCATION: Project site is located at the Marina Village Family Housing, 99 Mosley Avenue, Base Alameda, Alameda, California. The estimated price range for this project is over $450,000.00 - $550,000,00
