BC Timber Sales, Peace-Liard Business Area, is intending to direct award a Minor Works contract for the following proposed work/service: . Removal, Repair, Re-Install and Bridge Maintenance Works on Wet Creek Road 5Km Bridge. The proposed work/service is to be carried out by Canadian Forest Products Ltd. at a contract price of less than $ 68,870.00. The anticipated term of the contract is from July 15th, 2022 to July 30th, 2022. The contractor's qualifications required to complete the services are:
. Canadian Forest Products Ltd. regularly completes maintenance works on all bridges it owns. The BC Timber Sales, Peace-Liard Business Area has chosen not to compete the contemplated contract for the following reasons: 1. BCTS has chosen Canadian Forest Products Ltd. to complete the maintenance works on the bridge at 5km on the Wet Creek road because Canadian Forest Products Ltd. is the tenure holder on the road and owner of the structure. Canadian Forest Products Ltd. in Fort St. John regularly completes maintenance activities on bridges it owns and has proven to have the skill and abilities to ensure the work is done to industry standards.
