Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Shoreline, Washington. Working plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and playground / park / athletic field.

Bids for these projects came in higher than estimated, some of the materials required to complete the projects are not currently available due to supply chain issues that have been evident during the coronavirus pandemic, and the projects could not be completed over the summer. Rejecting all bids will delay completion of the projects, but allow the District to monitor the market and determine a more favorable time to call for bids in the future. Work includes but is not limited to converting an existing natural grass field to a synthetic turf surface, including concrete containment, curb and vertically draining aggregate base with subsurface drainage and stormwater detention and water quality facilities, with pedestrian and ball control chain link fencing and perimeter pathway, and related minor improvements and restoration. The Shoreline School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities. The right is reserved by the District to postpone contract award for the period of thirty (30) days after the bid opening. Accompany each bid with a certified check, cashier's check, or surety company bid bond in an amount not less than 5 per-cent of the Base Bid. Make payable to Shoreline School District No, 412, The Shoreline District is an ROE. The Contractor will be required to comply with all Local, Sate and Federal laws regard-ing prevailing wages, debarment, working hours and equal employ-ment opportunities in the perfor-mance of a public works contract.
