Minnesota State is requesting proposals to assist in developing a comprehensive landscape maintenance contract for all five (5) St Cloud Technical & Community College (SCTCC) buildings. Including all plantings on the grounds. Provide landscaping services to the college and other related areas on an as needed basis. A variety of plant and hardscape materials exist throughout the SCTCC campus. They all require regular maintenance. Some landscape elements require weekly maintenance, while others only need to be maintained once every one to three years. Campus gardens - which include raingardens, non-woody perennial plantings, and ornamental woody shrubs. Their care requires regular weeding, watering, mulching, trimming, and splitting. Shrub masses are large areas and borders that have been planted with woody shrubs. Their care is similar to the gardens on campus, but since the individual plants within a shrub mass are larger, and there is less variety of species within shrub masses, they are easier to care for. Oftentimes on campus, a shrub mass is bordered by a single-species, low-maintenance, non-woody perennial. For the purposes of this Maintenance Plan, such a planting area would be all the considered a shrub mass. The planters that are located near key building entries need to be replanted with annual plants every year and regularly watered and weeded. However, once their basic needs are met, they are very low maintenance for the rest of the growing season. The hard scape areas on campus - i.e. the areas that are not covered in plants - needed to be cleaned up on an annual or biannual basis. The scope of this Maintenance Master Plan includes rock mulch maintenance strips. The following is a list of properties that are included in this RFP. Owner's Discretion Identify the level of MINNESOTA STATE'S participation in the contract, as well as any other services to be provided by Minnesota State, and details of cost allowances for this participation. Pricing should be broken out accordingly: May 1, 2022 through June 30, 2022. Then July 1, 2022 through June 31, 2023. Cost will be increased each of the following 4 years by a percent to be negotiated through the contract process. Accordingly, St. Cloud Technical & Community College shall select the vendor(s) whose proposal and oral presentation if requested, demonstrate in St. Cloud Technical & Community College's sole opinion, the clear capability to best fulfill the purposes of this RFP in a cost effective manner. St. Cloud Technical & Community College reserves the right to accept or reject proposals, in whole or in part, and to negotiate separately as necessary in order to serve the best interests of St. Cloud Technical & Community College. This RFP shall not obligate the St. Cloud Technical & Community College to award a contract or complete the proposed project and it reserves the right to cancel this RFP if it is considered to be in its best interest.
