Project Locations: a. Blackhawk Elementary School, 1401 South Blackhawk Avenue, Freeport, Illinois 60132. b. Center Elementary School, 718 East Illinois Street, Freeport, Illinois 61032. c. Empire Elementary School, 1325 West Empire Street, Freeport, Illinois 61032. d. Jones-Farrar an IB World School, 1386 South Kiwanis Drive, Freeport, Illinois 61032. e. Lincoln-Douglas Elementary School, 1802 West Laurel Street, Freeport, Illinois 61032. Project Consists of: Site preparation and improvements including demolition, removal and disposing of existing playground equipment including concrete piers, removal and disposing of existing pea gravel, mulch and dirt beds, removal and disposing of existing steel guard rails, posts and concrete piers, providing concrete sidewalks, curbs and ramps, asphalt pavement, asphalt playground surface color coating, and sod restoration. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for a single Prime Contract. Any bid submitted unsealed, or unsigned, without bid bond or received subsequent to the aforementioned date and hour will be disqualified and returned to the bidder. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Bid Security is required in the form of a Bid Bond, AIA Document A310 in an amount equal to not less than ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid and all Additive Alternates. It is the Owners intent to issue a Notice of Award to the successful Bidder within thirty (30) calendar days of the Bid Date. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the opening of bids. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract sum, on AIA Document A312, as issued by the American Institute of Architects.
