Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Burlington, Vermont. Completed plans call for the construction of a 255,000-square-foot, four-story above grade educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The new school is approximately 250,000 SF spread out over 4 levels, and will be built on the same site as the existing high school. The footprint of the new construction overlaps the existing BHS footprint, thus requiring coordination of construction activities with owner's remediation/demolition contractors due to PCBs, asbestos and urban soils present in the existing buildings and surrounding site. The new project will require trade subcontractors for all divisions of work, and in the below table, you will see which divisions of work that require a PreQualification submission. As of July 3, 2023, construction has commenced in May 2023. Demolition and Sitework are underway. Skins and Interior bidding information is listed on related project. Substantial Completion is expected November 2025.
