Specifically, the work entails the construction of a 2,036 foot floodwall and a segment of levee that will extend approximately 2,472 feet north from Broadway along the western edge of Compton Creek marsh to the Raritan/Sandy Hook Bay shoreline dune. In addition, the applicant proposes to elevate a 600 foot long section of Port Monmouth Road, a pump station, two drainage outlet structures, a drainage culvert and a drainage system comprised of a swale pipe and culvert along Braindard Avenue. The contractor shall begin performance within five calendar days and complete the project within 570 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed.
