The City of Waterbury, Department of Public Works (hereinafter City), is seeking a Contractor to provide On-Call Catch Basin Cleaning within the City of Waterbury). The City has approximately 6,000 storm water catch basins citywide. The City endeavors to clean 2,200 catch basins each year utilizing a combination of City staff and contracted services to perform such service in a safe and efficient manner as detailed in the Scope of Services section of this RFP. Historically, the City has contracted for the cleaning of 1,200 to 1,500 basins in any given year. In addition to the programmed Catch Basins to be cleaned to meet regulatory standards, the City also designates Catch Basins to be cleaned prior to milling and paving to be coordinated with the City's paving program. The agreement period for any contract or purchase order resulting from this RFP is anticipated to be from issuance of the City's written notice to proceed through December 31, 2022. All questions and communications about this request for Proposal and submission requirements must be directed to the City of Waterbury ProcureWare website and must be received by 2:00 PM on April 8, 2022. Prospective proposers must limit their contact regarding this RFP to the Purchasing Director or such other person otherwise designated by the Purchasing Director. Responses to questions submitted by the above date or identified at any Information Session to be held in regard to this RFP, along with any changes or amendments to this RFP, will be available via the City of Waterbury ProcureWare website by April 12, 2022, 2:00 PM.
