CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 4/25/2022 5:00 PM The Work to be performed for the Harrisburg Street (SR 0441) / Orchard Drive (SR 3006) / Chambers Hill Road (SR 3006) Signal Upgrade Project involves signal modernization and safety improvements at the intersection of Harrisburg Street (SR 0441) / Orchard Drive (SR 3006) / Chambers Hill Road (SR 3006) in Swatara Township, Dauphin County. The traffic signal improvements include: Protected / prohibited left turn phasing on the southbound (Harrisburg Street) approach; Protected / permitted left turn phasing on the east bound (Orchard Drive) approach; Radar (dilemma zone protection) and optical vehicle detection systems; Emergency vehicle preemption on all four approaches; Crosswalks and pedestrian facilities including push buttons, pedestrian signal heads, and ADA compliant curb ramps serving two approaches; New controller; New supports / mast arms; Conduit; Refresh paving markings; LED retrofit; Signal re-timing; Associated signage This project is State Funded with a minimum 20% local match and as such there is no Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal required for this project. Swatara Township, in accordance with Title VI of the U.S. Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Parts 21 and 23 of 49 C.F.R., notifies all respondents that it will affirmatively ensure that MBE/WBE will be afforded full opportunity to submit proposals in response to this invitation and that no person will be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award.
