Award amount is $97,269.43** The Bids will be received for the following Contract: Whitpain Township 2022 ADA Ramp Modification Project The contract involves the removal and replacement of existing ADA curb ramps, which includes curb removal & replacement, sidewalk removal & replacement, paving removal and detectable warning panels and relatable construction. Whitpain Township will provide paving restoration and sidewalk and handicap ramp layout.
All proposals shall be submitted in accordance with INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS, Paragraph 14 - Bid Submission. A Certified Check or Bid Bond drawn to the order of Whitpain Township in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. Whitpain Township hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse any or all bids submitted; and also reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received, but any contract awarded will be to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. A pre-bid meeting is not scheduled. Except as otherwise provided by law, no Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of opening thereof or one hundred twenty (120) consecutive calendar days if the award is delayed by a required approval of another governmental agency, the sale of bonds or the award of a grant or grants CLARIFICATION DEADLINE
4/25/2022 4:00 PM The project is expected to be presented to the Board of Supervisor's for vote at their meeting on Wednesday - May 18th and if approved we will issue an award letter by Friday - May 20th to the successful bidder. Work is expected to start within 10 days of Notice to Proceed and must be complete within 60 calendar days from date of the Notice to Proceed. It is anticipated that all work will therefore be complete by the last week of August.
