The Work involved with the Project shall include, but may not be limited to, the furnishing of all labor, superintendence, materials, tools, equipment, machinery, supplies, fuel, and any other miscellaneous necessities and services necessary for landscape maintenance which for the purposes of the bid, shall include weeding, mowing, edging, pruning, hedge trimming, raking, sweeping, herbicide applications including preventive and corrective applications, fertilization and pest management services using Integrated Pest Management principles, irrigation system maintenance, monitoring and repair, maintaining and replacing, if necessary, any plants lost due to negligence of the Contractor, seasonal color replacement, removing graffiti on a daily basis, blowing sidewalks daily, pressure cleaning sidewalks and pavers quarterly, daily removal of all litter including dead animals, daily cleaning and weekly maintenance of all street furniture such as benches, trash receptacles and bus shelters, routine painting and maintaining all furniture and structures (City will provide custom paint), decorative street banner replacement and change-outs, daily shopping cart removal and litter pick up seven days per week, or as defined by City. Submittals must be received at the above address no later than 3:00 P.M. (EST), on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 and clearly marked on the outside of envelope "RIGHT-OF-WAYS, PUBLIC WORKS & LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SERVICES: BID # 22-05-04-3." Late submittals will not be accepted and shall be returned unopened. Interested firms should obtain the Invitation for Bids (IFB) package from www.demandstar.com on or after Monday, April 4, 2022. The IFB package contains information about the Statement of Work, Bid submission requirements and selection procedure resulting from this Invitation for Bid (IFB). Pursuant to City Code Sec. 2-260 (Ordinance 2002-12), public notice is hereby given that a "Cone of Silence" is imposed concerning this City's' competitive purchasing process, which generally prohibits communications concerning the IFB from the time of advertisement of the IFB until the beginning of the City Commission meeting at which the City Manager makes a written recommendation to the City Commission concerning the competitive purchase transaction. Please see the detailed specifications for the public solicitation for services for a statement fully disclosing the requirements of the "Cone of Silence." Pursuant to Ordinance 2005-14; City Code Section 2-420, vendors of the City are prohibited from in any way providing campaign contributions to City Commission candidates.
