Demolition and renovation of an educational facility in Montreal, Quebec. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and for the demolition of a educational facility.
Upgrades, repairs and redevelopment of the University pavilion located on the downtown campus. The scope of the project includes renovation of the Leacock Building tower located on McTavish Street to enhance the research and learning capacity of faculty, staff and students of the faculty. This project involves the complete renovation of floors 3 to 9, including: stripping of all non-structural elements, with the exception of stairs and wells, removal of all existing mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and distributions and new installation, reconfiguration of washrooms, upgrades of audiovisual systems in classrooms, replacement of windows and repair of joints in exterior concrete panels, upgrades of lighting fixtures and electrical distribution in the halls of floors 1 and 2, minor modification of the ventilation distribution of the second floor, improvement of three elevators. TIMELINE: Working drawings are underway. Owner is seeking required approvals. Tender for the general contractor is tentatively expected in summer/fall 2025.
