All questions are due by 12:00 P.M. (Noon) April 27, 2022 This project will include the rehabilitation of the existing bridge and approach roadway reconstruction. Work will include construction of a latex modified concrete overlay on the existing structure, guiderail installation, approach roadway paving and concrete repairs to the existing barriers, beams and abutments. The particular items of work for the contract are identified more specifically in the Bid Form, Contract Specifications and Contract Documents. The entire project will be awarded to one (1) Contractor. Contractor and all subcontractors are to be prequalified as a prime contractor. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bidder's bond, or certified check or cashier's check, payable to COUNTY OF LUZERNE, in the amount of not less than ten percent of the total amount bid. The County reserves the right to waive any informality in and to accept or reject any and all bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days. Bidders must submit with their bids the non-collusion affidavit contained in the contract documents. PA Prevailing Wages will apply to this contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, and related matters. The Contractor will be required to comply with the Provisions of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act in providing equal employment opportunities in connection with all work. This bid is for a public works contract and bidder is therefore subject to the provisions, duties, obligations and penalties of the Public Works Employment Verification Act, 43 P.S. 167.1-167.11. All submitted bids shall be accompanied with the Public Works Employment Verification Form.
