This contract is for lawn maintenance services for Chehaw Park located at 105 Chehaw Park Road, Albany, Georgia. The services requested include grass mowing, trimming, edging, and proper removal grass trimmings on walkways and around structures for the areas designated on the attached map. Specific areas include the Park front entrance, main campus inside & outside of loop road, Play Park, event area, Creekside Center, campground entrance, tent campground and the Zoo parking lot. Please see scope of work below for additional information. The contractor is responsible for knowledge of and compliance with all laws, codes, ordinances, and regulations that are applicable to this type of work. All mowing and string trimming shall be cut and trimmed according to the growth but no more than once per week and no less than once per month. It is preferred that during drought conditions grass will be allowed to grow higher than during rainy season. Keeping in mind that some areas grow faster than other areas. 2. Grass height should be kept to no more than 3 inches. 3. Mowing should be completed from roadside back 50', unless otherwise noted. 4. Where designated, string trimming will be performed around sidewalks, trees, bushes, and other landscaping in such a manner as to not damage them. String trimming will be performed around obstacles such as flag poles, fences, and the foundations of buildings as to maintain a generally neat appearance. 5. The contractor shall be required to remove bottles, trash, sticks, debris, and other objects prior to each cutting. These items shall not be left in place for the mower to pass over. This will be a one (1) year contract with four (4) options to renew for additional one-year terms per O.C.G.A 36-60-13 for multi-year purchases. The contract terminates at the end of the calendar year in which the agreement is made as well as at the end of any calendar year for which the agreement is renewed. Chehaw Park Authority must issue written notification to the Contractor thirty (30) calendar days prior to December 31 to confirm termination. In absence of this written notice of termination, the contract will automatically continue.
