The Town of Mount Airy is requesting bids from organizations with a strong record or qualifications, which will enable it to successfully assist the Town of Mount Airy with the installation of equipment utilized for the monitor of the municipalities' water production and supply. The purpose for this Request for Quote is to solicit competitive sealed proposals from interested vendors. The Township is currently utilizing a wired telephone loop system to communicate with each of its five, ground water producing wells to pump potable water to one of its two water tanks. The ideal system would include the ability to know when pumps are operating, when the tanks are full, and the levels at any given time. Moreover, the system should include low to no yearly operational fees with minimal operating costs. NOTE: Mount Airy will meet with any interested party to examine the locations to assist in determining the best equipment and pricing for our project by calling 706 778-6990 to schedule a time and date. Items to be Bided: Long range receivers and transmitters for five (5) well sites and two (2) waters tank monitors. Probability of ability to monitor or view status via computer or cellular phone. Bids must be complete and include:
A. An itemized list of each location to include the system and cost associated with the purchase and instillation. The total cost of the project, warranty, and any annual fees or memberships that are required.
B. Proof of being bonded and possess liability insurance
C. Any references from other government or privately own water systems. All bids submitted shall be subject to acceptance or rejection. The Town of Mount Airy specifically reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any technicalities and formalities in the bidding. Bidder shall submit all required forms, if any, and information simultaneously with sealed bids. When awarded, payment by the Town of Mount Airy will be the normal 30-day cycle, after the services are received or as otherwise mutually agreed upon
