As of March 15, 2024, the City Council rejected the bid from William Brothers Construction of Peoria, IL in the amount of $15,320.00. The project includes construction of new raw water and treated water pump stations, including construction of new reinforced concrete structures and modification and rehabilitation of existing structures; furnishing and installing vertical turbine pumps, piping, chemical feed pumps, electrical switchgear and electrical control systems, chemical storage tanks and appurtenances; demolition of existing structures; filling and grading the site; construction of pavements; and associated work. This procurement is also subject to the loan recipient's policy regarding the increased use of disadvantaged business enterprises. The loan recipient's policy requires all bidders to undertake specified affirmative efforts at least sixteen (16) days prior to bid opening
