The County is seeking a turnkey solution for the installation of 150kW diesel powered generator and all associated equipment and appurtenances. Potential contractors will be expected to: 1- Provide and install 150kW diesel generator and minimum 60 HR run time fuel tank 2- Provide and install concrete foundation/pad for generator unit 3- Provide and install any and all underground conduit, wiring, and connectors needed to connect generator to the building 4- Provide and install exterior rated automatic transfer switch capable of carrying full load for building 5- Provide and install vehicle impact bollards meeting NC Building/Fire Code minimum standards 6- Repair and/or replace any concrete removed for the installation of the unit or wiring For any questions please contact Daniel Roten at 336-372-6220, or email at Daniel.Roten@alleghanycounty-nc.gov. Potential contractors shall hold appropriate professional licenses and will be required to provide proof of liability insurance and workers compensation. An electrical permit will be required but will be provided at no cost for this project. Proposals for this project shall be guaranteed by all bidders for a period of 60 calendar days following the bid opening. A site visit is not required but is highly recommended prior to bidding. Per NCGS 143-129(b), a bid bond will be required with this contract, in the amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposed bid, payable by cash, or a cashier's check, or a certified check to Alleghany County or in lieu of a cash deposit, a bidder may file a bid bond executed by a corporate surety licensed under the laws of North Carolina. This deposit shall be retained if the successful bidder fails to comply with the requirements of the statute or contract, upon execution with Alleghany County.
