Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Portland, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Congress Street - Pearl to Washington - Paving & Sidewalks The project areas include the following: 1. Congress Street - Pearl Street to Washington Avenue a. 1.5" Milling and 1.5" Overlay - Pearl Street to Franklin Street b. 2" Milling, 0.5" Shim, and 1.5" Overlay - Franklin Street to Washington Avenue 2. Congress Street - Morning Street to Eastern Promenade a. Install new ADA compliant brick sidewalk from Morning Street to the Eastern Promenade on the north side of the road b. Loam and seed as needed due to this work OUTLINE OF WORK: The project includes, but, is not limited to the following items: 1. Pavement milling 2. 0.5" hot mix asphalt shim 3. 1.5" hot mix asphalt pavement overlay 4. Sidewalk ramp construction 5. Sidewalk construction 6. Install, adjust, reset, or rebuild curbing 7. Install, adjust, reset, or rebuild manholes and catch basins 8. Install esplanade and treewells 9. Pavement markings The entire project must be ready for owner acceptance by August 2, 2024. Work may begin prior to April 15, 2024 however all paving and striping must be completed after April 15, 2024. Extra time must be requested in writing and will only be approved as part of a change order Questions regarding this bid shall be made in writing only and be sent to the Purchasing Office, being received no later than five working days prior to the bid opening, for this project that deadline is 12:00 noon on Thursday, March 14, 2024. They may be mailed, e-mailed to mailto:slchapin@portlandmaine.gov or faxed to 207-874-8652 It is the bidder's sole responsibility to ensure that their bid is submitted prior to the date and time specified. Late, unsigned bids, or bids submitted via fax shall not be accepted.
