Project No. 06215141.01 The work generally consists of construction of an above ground aviation fuel bulk storage and loading/unloading facilities. Improvements include six 50,000 gallon Jet-A tanks, a 6,000 and 12,000 gallon Diesel tank, a 6,000 and 12,000 gallon Gasoline tank, loading, unloading, dispensing, electrical and mechanical infrastructure and associated sitework including excavation and grading, storm sewer, water main, sanitary sewer, Portland Cement Concrete pavement, traffic control, seeding and fertilizing. Prospective bidders are hereby advised that the quantities indicated herein are approximate and are subject to change per Section 40 of the General Provisions. Bid security in the amount of Five percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder shall be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price. Bid security and other bonds shall be provided on forms furnished by the Owner The Cedar Rapids Airport Commission anticipates a Notice-of-Intent to award to be issued no earlier than May 23, 2022 and the Notice-to-Proceed to be issued no earlier than August 1, 2022 and has established the following completion requirements: Phase 1 - East Fuel Facility: Late Start Date April 3, 2023, Substantial Completion Date December 13, 2023; Phase 2 - West Ramp Facility: Early Start Date April 3, 2023, Substantial Completion Date December 13, 2023, Final Completion: 90 Calendar Days following Substantial Completion Date All project work shall be substantially completed within the stated timeframe. This project is subject to liquidated damages as prescribed within the project manual. The right is reserved, as the Cedar Rapids Airport Commission may require, to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in the bids received, and to re-advertise.
