a. Fabrication and Installation of the overhead gantry and fall arrest system (as per drawings supplied). i. Note: It is the responsibility of the contractor to confirm any dimensions or measurement required prior to fabrication and installation. b. Delivery of fabricated systems to the site. c. Careful removal of existing pedestal winches and solid concrete pedestals. i. Pedestal winches to be left at site in convenient location for pick up by MNRF ii. waste concrete and rebar to be disposed at an approved Waste Disposal Site. d. Installation area prep work. (as per drawings supplied). e. Installation of overhead gantry and fall arrest system (as per drawings supplied). i. Note: It is the responsibility of the contractor to confirm any dimensions or measurement required. f. Fall arrest cable to be secured (as per drawings supplied). g. Fabricated Chain hoist storage box to be assembled and installed (as per drawings supplied). h. Level columns using nuts on anchors and grout base plates with non-shrink grout (as per drawings supplied). i. All hardware to be supplied by contractor as specified. All hardware supplied must be new (not used) materials. Quotes should include prices to supply necessary hardware (as per drawings supplied). Scope of Work: Fabrication, delivery and installation of an overhead gantry hoist and fall arrest system and removal of existing hoisting infrastructure at Chiblow Lake Dam and Little Rapids Dam. Replacement due to the current unsafe (inspected fall 2020) condition at both dams. This project should be completed by August 31, 2022. The work is required at: Chiblow Lake Dam - Directions to Site: From Blind River, take highway 557 north to Lake Hope Road paved at the start and turns into gravel road follow to Chiblow Lake at the end of main gravel road.
