Town of Carrabassett Valley Mowing Bid Specifications for 2022, 2023 and 2024 The Town of Carrabassett Valley is seeking bids for mowing of Town facilities as listed below for the 2022, 2023, and 2024 season. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in any bid received. The Bid Award will be based on price, past experience (references) and an assessment of the equipment proposed to be used for this work. Requirements for Mowing are as follows: 1. Mowers must include "bags" to pick up the grass to be deposited on site at the Town Park. 2. The mowing of the Town Park must be completed at times of little or no activity (early mornings or late afternoons). 3. Mowing will also consist of all weedwacking 4. Insurance Requirements: Successful Bidder must show proof of Contractor's Liability Insurance with minimum coverage of $300,000 per occurrence/$600,000 aggregate and must also show proof of Workmen's Compensation Insurance if Contractor employs employees for this work. The following is an approximate breakdown of the locations and frequency of mowing required: The Town gives no guarantee of the frequency of mowing required as weather conditions will impact this. Contractor must work closely with the Town (Recreation Director and/or Town Manager) to coordinate mowing times and frequency. Mowing will also consist of all weedwacking on each site. Town Office and Town Park: Approximately 12-14 mowings Town Welcome Signs (2) on each end of Town: Approximately 10 mowings Information Center: Approximately 10 mowings Campbell Field: Approximately 10 mowings Also includes weedwacking outer bank areas, entrance area and mowing down to the foot bridge and including the area adjacent to the Narrow-Gauge Sign. Cemetery: Approximately: 12-14 mowings. It is important that the cemetary be in very good condition just prior to the Memorial Day Holiday. Library: Includes side lawn (facing AGC) that wraps around the back of the building and the area inside the fenced in area. Bidders may do a walking site visit with the Town Manager prior to submitting a bid by calling the Town Manager at 235-2645.
