The Town of Colby, Clark County, Wisconsin, is seeking bids for granite, delivered anywhere within the Town of Colby. The quantity shall be 10,000 yards, more or less. Please specify if the granite is crushed or decomposed. Any material, either crushed or decomposed, is required to be responsive to our specification. If crushed, specify if materials meet state graduation 5/8" crushed stone or gravel. Hereby agree and certify to the following conditions of the bid: o Material is 100% processed (decomposed granite/crushed stone) screened to a maximum of 5/8 inch and shall be well graded from coarse to fine. Sieve analysis sampled from current stockpile required. o Material must be free from wood, concrete, asphalt and other deleterious materials. o Supply delivered material at the above price to any location within the Town of Colby. o Material shall have no additional water added. Natural occurring unavoidable moisture is acceptable. Mechanical watering of material prior to weighing and delivery will not be allowed without written consent from town chairman. Any load of bid material found to have water intentionally added without consent will either be rejected or reimbursed in full cost by the supplier to the town. o Supplier shall operate with an adequate number of delivery trucks to avoid wait time for town patrol operator. Town has the right to stop delivery at any time if an adequate amount of delivery trucks are not supplied. o Town has the right to refuse any material that is not consistent with the material as bid. o Town has the right to accept any bid, accept all bids or a combination of bids, reject any bid, reject all bids, waive any technicality in a bid, and right to ask supplier for clarification in a bid prior to award.
