Renovation of a municipal facility in McCalla, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

For the City Hall Repair and Renovations, for furnishing all materials labor, tools, and equipment, and for doing the work of constructing, according to Contract Documents on file in the office of said City of Lake View, Alabama. No bids will be received after the time set forth hereinabove. Demo existing rear pavilion; Haul off debris; Demo 4 existing exterior doors; Install 4 new metal doors with ADA hardware; Shutter- in (2) windows; Replace all deteriorated window components on remaining windows; Evidence Room: Demo (2) windows; Frame, insulate, and siding; Sheetrock interior; Trim: Police Interrogation Room; Remove (2) fans; New LED lights; Frame, insulate, double 5/8 sheetrock both sides; Metal door and frame with self-locking hardware; New light switch; Finish drywall paint ready; Trim; Paint both rooms and ceilings; Police Day Room: Demo double doors; Frame and sheetrock, insulate, and siding; Demo (4) windows; FrameSheetrock insulate, and siding; Frame for (2) 3 O X 6 O windows; Install (2) 3 O X 6 O windows; Exterior; Demo all back roof deck area/handrails/canopy; Reframe lower roof to match existing; Build soffits; Install gutters and downspouts; Check for deteriorated framing on existing ceiling; Replace all exterior columns with PT 6X6 and top and bottom trim; Pressure wash building; Caulk, seal, paint exterior; Dumpster; Portable restrooms. Work Areas are open to public inspection at Lake View City Hall or at the Office of the City Engineer, HagerCo-LLC at 1025 Montgomery Highway, Suite 110; Contractors wishing to bid, must obtain the required materials directly from HagerCo-LLC via EMAIL request to the Engineer at keithlhager@icloud.com. Bidders must be able to provide a current Certificate of General Liability insurance, vehicle insurance, and workman's compensation insurance. Bidder is responsible for all licenses and qualifications as required for building permit in Lake View, Alabama. Lake View Building Permit Fees will be waived. The City intends to award the bid to the lowest qualified, responsive, and responsible bidder. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to accept any bid advantageous to the Owner. All Bidders shall furnish either a bid bond or a cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank for any bid exceeding fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) unless the bidder can show that bonding is not available for the services, equipment, or materials. The bid bond or cashier's check must be made payable to the City of Lake View and in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of bids has passed. The Owner reserves the right to hold the bids for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of receiving the bids. All General Contractors and Sub-Contractors performing work on this project will hold a City of Lake View Business License as required by law. The bidder to whom the award is made shall furnish a performance bond and payment bond executed by a surety company duly authorized and qualified to make such bonds in the State of Alabama with penalty equal to 100 percent of the amount of the contract price. In addition, another bond, payable to the City, shall be executed in an amount not less than 50 percent of the contract price, with the obligation that the contractor or contractors shall promptly make payments to all persons supplying labor, materials, or supplies for or in the prosecution of the work provided in the contract and for the payment of reasonable attorneys' fees incurred by successful claimants or plaintiffs in civil actions on the bond. The attention of all bidders is called to the provisions of State Law Governing General Contractors, as set forth in Chapter 4 (Section 65 to 82, inclusive) of Title 46 of the Code of Alabama for 1940, as amended; and bidders shall be governed by said law insofar as it is applicable. The above- mentioned provisions of the Code make it illegal for the Owner to consider a bid from anyone who is not properly licensed under such code provisions. The Owner, therefore, will not consider any bid unless the bidder produces evidence that he is so licensed. Neither will the Owner enter into a Contract with a foreign corporation, which is not qualified under State Law to do business in the State of Alabama.
