Site work for a water / sewer project in Great Neck, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by certified check, bank check, or bid bond, made payable to the Manhasset-Lakeville Water District, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked only with the names and address of the bidder, the project title and the contract number. The Bid Deposit will serve as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Said security to be forfeited to the District as liquidated damages in case of failure of the successful bidder to enter into a contract for the execution of the work within ten (10) days after written notice from the Board to do so has been mailed to the bidder's address as stated in its proposal. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities and to accept such bid which, in the opinion of the Owner, is in the best interests of the Owner. No bid may be withdrawn after its acceptance or for a period of forty-five (45) days after being publicly opened and read.
