The Ministry of Forests is soliciting for equipment services contractors who are interested in carrying out Heavy Equipment Forest Service Road Emergency Works within the Selkirk Resource District. Forest Service Road emergency work consists of completing prescribed works including road prism stabilization, ditchline cleanout, culvert cleanout, culvert replacement, hauling/placing riprap, bridge repair, or barricading roads. To be eligible for Heavy Equipment Forest Service Road Emergency Work, interested contractors must qualify for inclusion on a Qualification List by submitting the requested response documents. Work opportunity by way of awarded contracts will be on an "as, and when required" basis. For the purpose of this RFQ, contracts will be directly awarded using a rotational process. The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to determine if there are qualified equipment services contractors who are interested in carrying out forest service road emergency repair works within the Selkirk Resource District. Emergency repair of forest service roads consists of completing prescribed works using heavy equipment. Works may include road prism stabilization, ditchline cleanout, culvert cleanout, culvert replacement, hauling/placing riprap, bridge repair, or barricading roads. Qualified Respondents must be registered as a Safe Company with the B.C. Forest Safety Council. Equipment rates will be based on current BC Road Builders- hourly Blue Book rates and the monthly fuel adjustment will apply. Work opportunity by way of awarded contracts will be on an "as and when required" basis. Please refer to Section 3 for further information on the types of equipment services specific to this Request for Qualifications. To be eligible for this work, interested contractors must qualify for inclusion on a Qualification List by submitting the requested documents. Please refer to Section 4 for information related to the use of the list. For the purposes of this RFQ, contracts will be directly awarded and work allocated using a rotational process based on a ranking position resulting from the submission evaluation.
