The Contractor shall perform preventive maintenance (PM), inspection, full coverage parts repair, and replacement on the three elevators owned and operated by the Department of Forensic Science (DFS), an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia. These elevators are operational in the Richmond Laboratory location. The Richmond forensic laboratory is located at 700 North 5th Street, Richmond, VA 23219. The Central Laboratory facility opened in June of 1998 and is located in the Virginia Biotechnology Research Park in the "Biotech Two" building. The DFS Laboratory shares the facility with the Central District Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, which is a division of the Virginia Department of Health. DFS' verbal responses to questions are not binding; therefore, no questions will be answered by phone. Questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted in writing to Jennifer Taylor via e-mail at jennifer.taylor@dfs.virginia.gov no later than five (5) working days before the due date.
