California Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) seeks to control target invasive plant species within high-priority natural resource protection areas within seventeen (17) state park units in Monterey County, California. This Agreement is for thirty-six (36) months and will commence on approval. The goal of this project is to enhance and restore native habitats and plant communities. Contractor will conduct targeted invasive plant control activities as directed by DPR, including hand removal and herbicide treatments on target species. DPR anticipates at a minimum of 400-500 acres will be treated at the end of the contract term, approximately 10-15% will be hand pulling of invasive species. The number of services would be based on several factors including plant growth and phenology, effectiveness of initial treatments, and contractor performance. Contractor will conduct invasive plant control activities as directed by State Representative, including hand removal and herbicide treatments on primary target species such as ice plant, Cape ivy, French broom, fennel, poison hemlock, Italian thistle, bull thistle, Victoria box, Crofton weed, Harding grass, jubata grass, annual false brome, and other invasive plant species as detected and deemed appropriate by States Representative.
