Site work and paving for a road / highway in Cairo, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
**As of June 27, 2022, project was awarded to The Scruggs Company awarded amount is $1,802,691.27.** The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct the proposed Pine Park Road Improvements Phase 2 as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction consists of widening and resurfacing 3.20 miles of Pine Park Road beginning at U.S. Highway 84/S.R. 38 and ending at Pierce Chapel Road (if budget allows) plus and all associated measures for a complete project. Also included in the project will be the grading, base and surfacing of 0.55 miles of Sunset Lane beginning at U.S. Highway 84/S.R. 38 and ending at the cul-de-sac. This work will be awarded in one (1) contract with a 180 consecutive calendar day construction schedule All bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder, if awarded the Contract, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. All bonds must appear on the Treasury Department's most current Circular 570 Listing. The Owner, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to re-advertise.
