The Virginia Department of Transportation is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide preventative maintenance service for the Xtreme Uninterruptible Power System located at the Traffic Field Operations building in Manassas. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, transportation, fuel, disposal, equipment, parts and materials required to provide scheduled preventative maintenance, diagnostic services and repairs for the Xtreme UPS located at the TFO building at 8010 Mason King Court, Manassas, VA. Preventive maintenance service will be scheduled by the VDOT Contract Administrator or designee. Diagnostic and repair services shall be provided on an as needed basis. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Lora Hagarty at Lora.Hagarty@VDOT.Virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than five (5) days prior to the closing date. Failure to submit a bid on the official state form provided for that purpose shall be a cause for rejection of the bid. Modification of or additions to any portion of the Invitation for Bids may be cause for rejection of the bid; however, the Commonwealth reserves the right to decide, on a case by case basis, in its sole discretion, whether to reject such a bid as nonresponsive. As a precondition to its acceptance, the Commonwealth may, in its sole discretion, request that the bidder withdraw or modify nonresponsive portions of a bid which do not affect quality, quantity, price, or delivery. No modification of or addition to the provisions of the contract shall be effective unless reduced to writing and signed by the parties.
