Tender for the provision of Lawn Care and Ground Maintenance at Crescent Valley Projects 105 and 106 for a one(1) year period starting May 1, 2022 to September 30, 2022 with the option to renew for one(1) additional one (1) year period upon agreement by both party. Pricing shall be subject to negotiation of a satisfactory contract price not to exceed the tendered price plus any published increase in the New Brunswick Consumer Price Index. Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders will be required to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders who do not attend the mandatory site meeting or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment and their bid will be declared non-responsive. Any clarifications or changes to the Tender Specification resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the Tender. References, criminal record check, insurance and WorkSafe NB registered and in good standing are mandatory as per section 4.1, 10.1, 12 and 12.1 respectively. All work is to be completed in accordance with the Specification Attached. All work under this contract shall be completed by a company with current active membership in Landscape New Brunswick or the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA). Proof of membership and/or qualification must be provided with the bid submission. No consideration for exceptions or equivalent documentation or memberships. The contract will be awarded to the lowest compliant bid based on the total contract price for the one (1) year period. Prior to Contract award, the Department of Social Development may consult with other departments and agencies of the Province of New Brunswick to obtain information on the Vendor's past performance within the previous five (5) years. Results from the aforementioned consultations that are unsatisfactory to the Department, in its sole and absolute discretion, will result in the disqualification of the Vendor's bid. GNB is responsible for developing creative and responsible green policies for its lawn care and ground maintenance contracts in the province. Consider to complete the Green Supplier Survey attached. Organic lawn care involves using natural, organic lawn fertilizers, proper mowing techniques, and organic weed killers. Maintaining turfgrass using organic and natural ingredients without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Here are the essential principles of organic lawn care: Use organic lawn fertilizers. Organically based lawn fertilizers are crucial to non-toxic, chemical-free lawn care. The best organic fertilizers should have a high nitrogen content to promote lush, green growth in turfgrass. An ideal ratio in any type of lawn fertilizer is 3-1-2. For example, a commercial organic lawn feed could have a ratio of 15-5-10. HOW TO FILL IN PRICING: Unit Price = Price for one year Extended Price = 1 Years Price (Unit Price x 1 Years) Please ensure to also indicate the total bid price in the "Total Including all charges" space provided.
